Wedding Photo Directory: Jessica Verma
The heart of my photography is the people, and the honest interactions I can
catch. Years in the future, I want people to look at my photos and really feel
like they know something about the subjects—not just what they looked like,
but what they were like.

At weddings, aside from any traditional formal shots you may request, I do not
pose you or your guests but simply allow everyone to enjoy themselves. When you
look at the pictures of your wedding, you will see the fun you had, not the
forced smiles you may see in the work of other photographers.

The same goes for portraiture. I don't want to take pictures of your children
sitting still and perfectly posed; how often do they really do that? Let's get
them playing, eating ice cream, getting dirty. Those are the photos that will
always remind you what they were really like.

I think photography should be fun, memorable, and beautiful—not intimidating
